Vino Godfather Presents: Stef Burns Winter Concert "Per il Gusto del Rock" with Jim Funk and Jeff Campitelli. This amazing trio will rock you Saturday afternoon at Vino Godfather on January 15th, with searing guitar solo's, melodic harmonies, and infectious grooves that will have you out of your seats. Stef Burns who after a stint with Pablo Cruise joined Sheila E's band and played on two of her albums. He played with Sheila E and opened up for Prince on his Purple Rain Tour. Stef then toured around the world with Berlin (who had a massive hit at the time with Take My Breath Away), and Michael Bolton. He also played in the bands The VU and Y&T with whom he recorded four albums. The nineties saw Stef playing with Alice Cooper for four years and appearing on the Monsters of Rock tour with Ozzy Osborne, Megadeth and Faith No More. Stef regularly tours with Huey Lewis and the News and Vasco Rossi. Jim Funk has an amazing voice and is know around the bay area as the singer for East Bay classic pop group, The Dawdlers & Funk'n Fleming! duo. He is the 'Paul Guy' in Bay Area Lennon & McCartney tribute duo Two of Us (and formerly so for The Sun Kings band), Jim sings classic pop songs, many of them British, from The Beatles to Squeeze, Crowded House to Coldplay & Keane. He is also an accomplished bass player and plays left handed bass just like McCartney. Jeff Campitelli was bitten by the drum bug very early in life. He joined his first band at the age of 11 and got his first professional gig at the age of 16 playing at the Cow Palace in San Francisco in front of 15,000 people. As a senior in high school, Jeff met and formed a band with legendary guitarist Joe Satriani and at that point there was no looking back. Through the years he has made 21 albums (including 3 gold and 1 platinum) , 7 live concert DVDs with Satriani and has played on 15 Grammy nominated songs. With that many recordings comes lots of touring. Jeff has traveled over 1,000,000 miles and has played thousands of shows in over 40 countries. It is obvious that music has chosen him and there hasn't been a day since that he hasn't enjoyed making beautiful music.
